Building contractors and engineers who work on different kinds of commercial and industrial equipment often use Sillcock keys and other cross keys with more than one use. So why does that matter? Well? If SHTF happens in a city, you may need to start something that needs one of those special secrets.

Sillcock KeyThe Sillcock Important
A sillcock is a spigot for an outdoor water supply, such as a hose, mounted on the exterior of a home, business, or factory. Most residential sillcocks have a handle or lever to control the water flow. But industrial and sillcock valves usually need a key to work, mostly to keep people from breaking into them.
If there isn’t a handle nearby, would-be vandals can’t turn on the water and leave it running, which could flood the area.
If You can open some sillcock valves with pliers or a multi-tool, most of them are designed to keep you out.
Sillcock keys are four-way cross
Sillcock keys are four-way cross keys about 3 inches square and just over 5/8 inches thick. Results show that Sillcock Important is manufactured from an exceptionally robust metal alloy that has been heated and machined to increase its strength. It weighs about 5.5 oz. Not at all easy, not at all? I’d like to see one made of something lighter, like titanium or aluminum, but I’m sure it would be expensive. Each of the four women’s ends fits a different square. Devices usually come in one of the following sizes: 1/4′′, 9/32′′, 5/16′′, and 11/32′′. There are valve stalks with different lengths, but these four are probably the most common.
EDC or Bug-out bag
What would you want to keep in your EDC or Bug-out bag at all times? Yet, the water supply might be turned off in extreme circumstances or when the power goes out in a city, making it very difficult to obtain water. Most water pipes in industrial and business buildings are up high. This means that water may become trapped in the pipes even without pressure. This could happen through an air-locking mechanism or the pull of gravity. Water would only be accessible through Sillcock valves in key spots inside and around most buildings.

The Universal 4-n-1 Control Cabinet Cross Key is a very common multipurpose cross key used by electrical.
And HVAC contractors, electrical and mechanical engineers, and building/center maintenance professionals, among others.

As well as elevator and train door control sections.
My key is a sturdy go-across key constructed of a light perish cast zinc alloy, as can be seen in the accompanying picture.
It is around 1.7 ounces in weight.
Although a zinc alloy is used in the manufacturing process of QST’s 4-in-1 Control Cupboard Secret, I have seen other manufacturers utilise aluminium, steel, and stainless steel in the manufacturing process of products that are functionally identical to the one I have purchased from QST.
5-n-1 Change Cabinet Cross Key5-n-1 Change Cabinet Go across Key
The Common 5-n-1 Go across Important Wrench, also from QST, is another multifunctional cross key. There is typically a need for this in order to close and open the controls for the revision systems and the air conditioning.
Lock trash cans and recycling bins and keep the lids on road lamp posts.
This key, like the others that I purchased from QST, is constructed of perish-cast zinc alloy, which results in it being both lightweight and extremely long-lasting.
This key is much like the Common 4-in-1 Control Cabinet Important in the list above, but there are some important differences. The missing double-bit paddle important is by far the most important one. This is a stepped men’s important in sizes 6, 7, 8, and 9 millimeters square.
